anyways, so i was trying to microwave white chocolate to melt it. and forgot that because it has a different composition than regular chocolate (shut up, its an ib moment, i know) it probably has a differint heating rate.... so 4 minutes comes and goes, i open the microwave, fumes of smoke come pouring out, i've set off the smoke alarm again..and theres a nice, charred patch of blackness. so being the bright person i am, i pour cold water on to it! uh oh. hiss smoke AGH i think its gonna blow (although it really doesn't) . and now it looks honeycombed. and i really have an irrational fear of honeycombed surfaces. maybe it was after seeing the picture of kuru... yech. so i spent the past half hour scrubbing out the bowl with plenty of vinegar and baking soda, and hot water and soap.
translation: jenn and any type of oven are not really best friends.
